The well-known manufacturer of artists' paints C.Kreul GmbH & Co. KG has once again decided in favor of a labeling machine from b+b Automations- und Steuerungstechnik GmbH. The requirements for product labeling have also increased significantly in this business sector. In order to meet these requirements and to be able to react flexibly to the changing demands of the different markets in the future, a system was designed in cooperation with the two medium-sized companies to apply a label to the circumference of plastic tubes of various sizes and diameters and/or, if desired, to apply a product and color description (max. 4 lines) to the circumference by using a Videojet Technologies CIJ 1860 printing system.
The line is also equipped with an infeed magazine for separating the plastic tubes from a carton, a cab Produkttechnik GmbH & Co KG Hermes Q printing module and a RAPID series label dispenser to achieve the required application speed of min. 50 tubes/min.
Label and print alignment is performed by a mark recognition system. After labeling, the products are conveyed to the infeed area of the tube filler via an incline conveyor.
To make print data management as simple as possible for the operating personnel, the system receives all print data from the higher-level b+b Sitemanager ZSP - a central order management tool that already exists at C. Kreul GmbH & Co. KG.
