Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and do not cause any damage.

Some of these technologies are technically necessary for the proper functioning of the website. Others are used to analyse user behaviour or to provide external content.

Technically necessary cookies and similar technologies are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis applies. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free and optimised provision of our website.

Insofar as cookies or similar technologies are used for analytics or marketing purposes, this is done exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

You can also configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies, allow cookies only in individual cases, or activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Consent management

Our website uses a consent banner or consent management tool to obtain, manage, and document your consent to the storage of certain cookies and the use of certain technologies in a data protection compliant manner.

In particular, your consent decision, the time of the decision, information about your browser and device, and technically required connection data may be processed.

This processing is carried out in order to comply with our legal obligations on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Hosting and technical provision of the website

We use external service providers for hosting and technical infrastructure. The website is created and managed using Wix, and hosting and/or infrastructure services are also provided by STRATO. In this context, technical access data may be processed where necessary for the operation, delivery, security, and stability of the website.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable provision of our online offering.

When our website is accessed, information is automatically collected in so-called server log files as part of the technical operation of the website. This includes in particular:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Operating system used

  • Referrer URL

  • Hostname of the accessing computer

  • Time of the server request

This data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation, system security, and stability of the website.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the form, including the contact details you enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.

Depending on the content of your enquiry, this data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or to the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the efficient handling of enquiries addressed to us pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or on your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, if such consent has been requested.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies, you request its deletion, or statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

Google reCAPTCHA / Google Cloud Fraud Defense

We use Google reCAPTCHA in our forms, which is now offered as part of Google Cloud Fraud Defense, to verify whether entries are made by a natural person or abusively by automated processing.

The provider for users in the European Union is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

By using reCAPTCHA, personal data and technical information may be processed, in particular IP address, referrer URL, browser and device characteristics, language settings, and interaction data insofar as this is necessary for the detection of automated access and abuse prevention.

The processing is carried out to protect our website and our online forms and for security, fraud, and abuse prevention, in particular against spam, abusive automated access, and other attacks.

Where reCAPTCHA is only loaded after your consent has been given, the processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Where reCAPTCHA is integrated for compelling security reasons and is technically necessary, the processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in protecting our website and forms.

Further information on data processing can be found in Google Cloud’s privacy and contractual documentation, in particular the Cloud Data Processing Addendum and the service-specific terms applicable to reCAPTCHA and Google Cloud Fraud Defense.

Google Analytics is used exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the consent banner.

Further data is only collected insofar as it is necessary for providing the newsletter or is voluntarily provided by you.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

We use Brevo to send and manage our newsletters. The provider is Brevo SAS, 17 rue de Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France.

Brevo enables us to send newsletters and manage newsletter subscriptions. In this context, the data you provide for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is processed on Brevo’s servers.

When you visit a page with an embedded YouTube video or activate an embedded video, a connection to YouTube’s or Google’s servers may be established. In the process, technical data may be processed, in particular your IP address, information about your browser and device, and information about the page you accessed.

YouTube content is only embedded after your consent has been given via our consent banner, unless the content is already loaded as a result of your active request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.

Where technically possible, embedded videos are used in enhanced privacy mode.

Further information on data processing by YouTube and Google can be found in Google’s privacy information.
