40 years of BBK and 20 years of b+b: A shared anniversary in the year of their merger

b+b Automations- und Steuerungstechnik GmbH is celebrating a special milestone this year: 40 years of BBK and 20 years of b+b represent a combined 60 years of experience in labelling and marking technology. At the same time, 2026 marks an important step in the company’s development. In January, BBK merged into b+b Automations- und Steuerungstechnik GmbH, bringing both companies’ expertise together under the b+b name.

The shared anniversary recognises two company histories that now continue under one roof. The experience gained over these decades provides the foundation for developing and implementing labelling solutions for a wide range of products, packaging formats and production processes.

From Labelling Systems to Software

The b+b portfolio ranges from label dispensers and print-and-apply systems to manual workstations and automated labelling machines. Software solutions such as LP5 complement the machinery, supporting label design, data management and print control.

Each solution is designed around the application. Product characteristics, packaging formats, production speeds and existing processes determine the system configuration. To meet these requirements, b+b combines proven standard modules with application-specific engineering and the appropriate control and software technology.

Celebrating the Past and Looking Ahead

In September, BBK and b+b celebrated the anniversary with a joint celebration weekend. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the development of both companies and mark the start of a new chapter together.

Through the merger, b+b brings together the knowledge and experience built throughout both companies’ histories. The anniversary year therefore represents both continuity and further development, with the aim of supporting customers with practical solutions to their labelling challenges.
